When I left office in 2016, I was definitely ready to take some time off from serving on the Coronado City Council. I had attended all but 3 meetings for 14 consecutive years and I was ready to step back and let others in our community step forward to serve.
This year’s pandemic has put massive strains on our City’s government and I am convinced that now is the time for me to bring my experience and commitment back to the Coronado City Council. Our City is going to lose millions of Dollars in tax revenue from the decline in hotel stays and consequently, the City will face challenging years of decision making in the months and years to come.
I am ready to be a voice for my neighbors and the residents of this community in those important decisions to be made.
I understand this City’s history and its people. I am thoughtful and reflective in my decision-making process, and I am ready to make decisions that balance the needs of peace and quiet for our residents with the needs to manage tourism in order to maintain our positive budgets and to protect our local businesses. I am ready to again be your voice on the Coronado City Council.
